There is an action-packed calendar of events taking place in the Ashford and Tenterden area with something to suit all tastes.
Whether it's a Thomas the Tank Engine Weekend at the Kent & East Sussex Railway, Delphinium Week at Godinton House & Gardens or a visit to one of the many local Farmers' Markets in the area, there is always plenty to choose from.
In addition there are many special events and festivals during the year. The Equator Series offers a rich and diverse programme of world music, dance and theatre. July sees the welcome return of the Egerton Music Festival with something for everyone. The programme includes musical recitals, opera, jazz and much more.
The ever popular Ashford Summer Sounds programme will once again run throughout July, and the Darling Buds Classic Car Show will once again take place at the home of fictional Pop Larkin from the classic television series, The Darling Buds of May.
The first weekend in October sees the return of the ever popular Tenterden Folk Festival, now in its 19th year. Due to its popularity, the Folk Festival will now start on Thursday and run through until Sunday.
